Update – Korea Cargo Transport Workers’ Strike

The Korea Cargo Transport Workers’ Union and the Korean government reached an agreement today and as a result, the union has announced it will end the strike and return to work on Saturday, June 30.
Therefore, all container movements related to ocean export and import will return to normal beginning June 30.

Update – Korea Cargo Transport Workers’ Strike

Because of the Korea Cargo Transport Workers’ strike that began on June 25, most inland transportation has stopped. Today, more than 60% of container movement in Korean ocean import/export was stopped.

Korea Cargo Transport Workers’ Strike

The Korea Cargo Transport Workers’ Union began a strike at 7:00 a.m. today. The strike includes the Busan Port area.
There may be serious delays to cargo transportation, to include pick-up and delivery of ocean FCL and LCL, and air freight.

Brazil Customs Strike

Beginning today, June 18, Brazil Customs will be on strike. The strike is expected to last until the end of June and will affect all import and export shipments in Brazil. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide regular updates.

Strike in Norway

At 7:00 a.m. local time today, customs employees in Oslo, Akershus, Southern Norway and Eastern Norway went on strike. There may be slightly longer processing times for customs in the affected areas – when applying for a customs credit, credit for one-time fee, or a daily settlement. Canada Pacific Railway Suspends Canadian Rail Services

Yesterday, Canada Pacific Railway (CP) suspended its Canadian rail services after engineers, conductors, and rail traffic controllers of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) began a strike. Negotiations between the parties are still underway and should the negotiation be prolonged, the Canadian Labor Minister is readying possible back-to-work legislation.
