Agility today announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2016, reporting a net profit of KD 15.17million, an increase of 11%compared to the third quarter of 2015. Earnings-per-share stood at 13.19 fils, and EBITDA stood at KD 28.90 million, a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2015. Revenues are at KD 312.00 million for the quarter, a 7% decrease over Q3 last year.

ACCRA, Ghana – October, 19, 2016 – Agility, a leading global logistics and infrastructure provider, has opened a distribution park near Ghana’s main port, the first of a network of logistics parks it intends to build across Africa, bringing world-class warehousing and logistics capabilities.
Tenants at the 45-acre Ghana Agility Distribution Park in the Tema Port Free Trade Zone Enclave include multinationals entering the West African market and small and medium-size Ghanaian companies using the park to expand their operations in light manufacturing and export and import.

JOHANNESBURG – Sept. 29, 2016 – Agility, a leading global logistics provider, today announced the winners of its Africa 2016 Photo Competition, a series of photographs that show how quickly Africa is modernizing, growing and even leading the way in new technology.
The annual contest, now in its second year, is a pan-Africa photography competition focusing on Africa’s rapid modernization. This year’s competition drew more than 2,500 photographs from professional and amateur photographers in 30 countries.

Agility joins Maersk Line Carbon Pact initiative to cut CO2 by 15%
BAAR, Switzerland – September 26, 2016 – Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has signed an agreement with Maersk Line, the world’s largest container ship operator, to cut CO2 emissions by 15% per container transported on Agility shipments by 2020.
The agreement is part of Maersk’s Carbon Pact Challenge, an initiative under which the ocean carrier and its customers work together to drive down harmful emissions and reduce the environmental impact of shipping. [Read more…]
