Transport Canada Registered Shippers List

“Known Shipper” status does not equal “Registered Shippers” status under Transport Canada’s new air cargo security program.

The Transport Canada Air Cargo Security Program is changing. Effective December 31, 2012, 100 percent of all cargo transported on a domestic, international, or trans-border passenger flight departing a Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) airport, must be secured.

Agility has been an approved participant from the inception of the Air Cargo Security Program, one of the two new security requirements. The second requirement is a shipper must be a registered participant with Transport Canada. Your “Known Shipper” status does not meet the new security requirements and will no longer be recognized by Transport Canada.
