Potential Strike – U.S. East Coast and Gulf Coast

The current ILA labor contract expires at midnight on Saturday, December 29, 2012. With a new contract not yet in place, there is potential for a strike starting December 30.

The commencement of such a strike will shut down all major container terminals on the U.S. East and Gulf Coasts. The ripple effect from the terminal closures will be widespread and severe congestion is expected. Agility is working with its carriers to try and minimize disruptions.

We will provide updates as they become available. If you have any questions, please contact Peter Renault, Director, Carrier Relations, at PRenault@agilitylogistics.com.
