Strikes in Chile

The stevedores at the port of San Antonio, Chile, have been on indefinite strike since September 24. The strike is affecting all terminals at the port of San Antonio — access to all terminals and operations at the port are currently suspended.

On October 2, the stevedores at the ports of San Vicente, Lirquen and Coronel joined the strike. Access to these terminals and all operations at these ports have also been suspended.

Stevedores at other Chilean ports, such as Valparaiso, are working normally at this time.

Agility is in contact with customers that may have cargo affected by these strikes and is working with the ocean carriers to ensure delays are kept to a minimum.

We will keep you posted on any future developments. In the meantime, if you have any urgent inquiries, please contact Robert Hertling at RHertling@agilitylogistics.com.
